Port of Mishimakawanoe

Port of Mishimakawanoe is an important port located on the prefectural border with Kagawa Prefecture in the east end of Ehime Prefecture. Port of Mishima and Port of Kawanoe were merged in 1970, and the paper manufacturing and processing as a local industry has mainly thrived. In December 2006, Port of Mishimakawanoe was designated as a recycle port by evaluating the actions taken to recycle used paper. The port is also located at a connecting point with expressway in Shikoku, so also plays the role as a site supporting the paper manufacturing and processing in Shikokuchuo City.
