Port of Matsuyama

Port of Matsuyama is located at the center of Ehime Prefecture, and has continued its development as a port by thriving, from early days, as a sea entrance to the prefectural capital Matsuyama City, and as a pivotal place for traffic connecting Hanshin, Chugoku and Kyushu.
In Matsuyama City in backland of Port of Matsuyama boasting of the biggest population in Shikoku, a wide variety of industries such as chemical, texture, electric appliances and agricultural machinery are integrated, and the city was designated as FAZ (import promotion area) for the first time nationally in March 1993.
At Outer Port Area, the services of foreign trade container seaways to Korea, China, Taiwan and Manila are available, and the number of visiting ships ranks at the 1st place in Shikoku.
