Hosoki Fairway

Ehime Nanyo Region with extensive ria coast. Around the tip of Miura Peninsula where Hosoki Fairway is located, there are hard places for ships to sail. In years 1956 through 1961, therefore, approx 53,000 m3 of gravel and bedrock was ground, and a new fairway was opened near Miura Peninsula, thus realizing a safe seafaring of ships and the promotion of regional development. In years 2007 through 2008, additionally, deteriorated surfaces were repaired in an attempt to maintain the fairway appropriately.
